Step 2 : Go to "edit profile" section of your account to fill all the compulsory fields marked with an asterix (*)
Step 3 : Go to "application form" in your account and select the program you wish to apply for.
Step 4 : In the application form select the mode of fee payment from the drop down. You may select online and pay using online banking or debit card. Please follow the instructions as you will be led to the payment gateway. In case you do not want to pay online, you may select other payment options (Cheque/ DD in favour of James Lind Institute) and submit you form online without the payment.
Step 5 : Send a copy of your academic credentials (10+2 onwards) along with the course fee (if not paid online) to our office address by post.

Clinical and Translational Science Rediscovered
From the time of James Lind who is regarded as the father of modern day clinical trials, the field of drug discovery has come a long way. It has experienced its share of the dark ages moving on to the twentieth century which witnessed landmark discoveries and finally into the twenty first century when interdisciplinary research is being rediscovered which was seemingly lost due to an overspecialization of the enterprise. The pharma/biotech industry is entering a new era with a high demand for innovation. Patents for most of the blockbuster (high revenue generating) drugs are expiring and nichebuster (personalized or targeted) drugs are evolving. Overall the impetus on innovative molecules and novel drug targets is sure to increase the number of drugs in the pipeline and so is the clinical research industry.
Clinical research is research conducted with human subjects and is a vital component of the whole process of discovery of products for human use. Such products include drugs, devices, biologics, cosmetics, therapeutic procedures, alternative medicines and therapies. Clinical research as seen in the above figure stands at the center of the drug development enterprise bridging basic research to health of the people. This section of drug discovery is conducted in various phases and is most time consuming and expensive. A conservative estimate of around $800 million and 8-12 years is usual for a drug to reach from laboratory bench to a patient’s bedside.
Clinical research for a new therapeutic entity passes through various phases and each phase goes through a process of study design, obtaining funding, finding volunteers, collecting and processing data, interpretation of the results and finally reporting. It is often said that all these processes are one-fifth structure (science) and four-fifth process (management).(Francis D et al. 2007)
